Marco Polo's Treasures, a new venture by Deb Sagerholm, offers an exclusive collection of unusual furnishings and accessories from countries of the Far East.
Deb, former director of Ancient Rhythms/Phillips Designs and a frequent traveler to Asia, discovered fascinating décor, artwork and furnishings of the Pacific Rim. Over the years, she has cultivated relationships with Far East notables to bring these treasures back to the US. After Ancient Rhythms/Phillips Designs, a retailer of upscale Asian furnishings based in Bethesda, MD, closed its doors in December 2004, Deb relocated in Kensington and ventured out on her own.
Many friends and customers have followed the move from Ancient Rhythms to Marco Polo's Treasures in Kensington. Known in Bethesda for over a decade for amazing one-of-a-kind Asian furniture and accessories, the business catered to the retail shopper and interior designer alike. Marco Polo's Treasures continues to carry on these traditions and to bring back awesome finds.
Marco Polo's Treasures features items personally selected by Deb and her overseas buyers in China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, the Philippines, Burma and other countries of the Pacific Rim. Most of the extraordinary furnishings are collected in their original condition, either from the countryside, at auctions, or trader's markets. Many are one-of-a kind, and all are of the highest quality of craftsmanship.
Marco Polo's Treasures is located at 4263 Howard Ave, Kensington, MD.
